Guide: Parental Leave (July 2020)
While parental leave may cause some short-term interruption to your business, it is great to be able to support your employees during this process.
By showing your employees that you genuinely care and are welcoming of parental leave you can support team morale and engagement while also encouraging employees to return to work after a period of parental leave. Generally, employees appreciate flexible approaches to impending parenthood, and engaged employees are more likely to return to work after a period of parental leave. This is a good thing for your business in the long run because good people are hard to find.
The Parental Leave and Employment Protection Act 1987 and amendments cover the minimum entitlements to parental leave for your employees. We have created this guide to help you navigate through any parental leave scenario.
